The Union Public Service Commission released the e-admit card for the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) 2026 on 24 July 2026. Candidates who applied for the 1,358 Medical Officer vacancies can now download their hall ticket from the official portal using their Registration ID or Roll Number along with their Date of Birth. The written exam is scheduled for 2 August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification
  • Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized university.
  • Those awaiting their final-year MBBS result may also apply, subject to producing proof of passing at the time of document verification.
  1. Age Limit
  • Maximum age: 32 years as on 1 August 2027.
  • Age relaxation applicable to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other reserved categories as per government norms.
  1. Nationality
  • Indian citizen, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries, or other specified nations with the intention of permanently settling in India.

1. Visit upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in.

2. Click on the link for "e-Admit Card: Combined Medical Services Examination, 2026."

3. Log in using your Registration ID/Roll Number and Date of Birth.

4. Download the admit card and take a clear printout.

5. Cross-check your name, roll number, exam centre, and photograph carefully.

6. Carry the admit card along with a valid original photo ID to the centre — no duplicate copy is issued after the exam.

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Written Exam — Paper I and Paper II, held on the same day.

2. Personality Test — 100 marks, for candidates who clear the written cut-off (schedule to be announced separately).
