UPSSSC OTR One Time Registration 2026 — Why You Only Get One Shot at This

UPSSSC OTR Registration 2026 went live on 14 July 2026, and it's the single gate every future UPSSSC applicant has to pass through now. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission introduced this under Office Order No. 45/17/विज्ञा0 अनु0(ग्यारह)/2026/O.T.R./2026, and it applies to every upcoming PET-based and direct recruitment exam the commission runs — Lekhpal, Junior Assistant, Auditor, Lower PCS, all of it. Without an OTR number, you simply can't apply to anything UPSSSC releases going forward.

What OTR Actually Replaces

Before we had this system people who wanted to apply for jobs had to fill out the information over and over again for every single UPSSSC form. This included things like their name, where they went to school and how to get in touch with them. They had to do this for the PET test, the test and any other tests that came after. The OTR system changes this by making people fill out this information one time. Once they have an OTR number they can use it to apply for any jobs they want. The OTR number will already have their information so they will only have to add the details that are specific to the job they are applying for.

Two Ways to Register. Pick the Right One

A lot of people get confused about how to register for the OTR system. Here is what they need to know:

1. If they took the UPSSSC PET test in 2025 they need to use their PET 2025 registration number to create their OTR account. They cannot start from scratch even if they want to.
2. If they did not take the PET test in 2025 they can register for the OTR system as a person.

It is very important to do this. If someone tries to register for the OTR system as a person when they actually took the PET test in 2025 it can cause problems, with their account later on. So they should make sure they are doing it the way before they start filling out any forms.

Photo and Signature Rules. Read These Twice

The UPSSSC has some specific rules about this. A lot of people get their application rejected because of this.

1. The photograph should be in JPEG or JPG format. It should be between 50 and 100 kilobytes in size. You should have taken the photograph within the six months.
2. The signature should be in JPEG or JPG format. It should be between 30 and 50 kilobytes in size.
3. You must write your name in Hindi below your signature. You have to use your handwriting.
4. Do not use capital letters to sign your name. This is a deal. If you do this your application can get rejected.

How to Complete UPSSSC OTR Registration

1. First go to the website at upsssc.gov.in.

2. Then find the link that says "One Time Registration 2026 Form" on the homepage.

3. Now you have to say if you have a PET 2025 registration number. Choose yes or no.

4. Next enter your number and email address. You will get a verification code on both.

5. Then fill in all your details, like name, education and address. Be very careful when you do this.

6. Upload your photo and signature. Make sure they are exactly as the UPSSSC wants them.

7. Check everything again. Make sure your name is spelled correctly and your date of birth is right.

8. Finally submit your application. You will get an OTR number. Keep your OTR ID. Password safe.

What Happens If You Make a Mistake

This is the part worth being completely upfront about. Once your OTR number generates, UPSSSC's own notice states that no modification or correction will be allowed in any detail — not name, not date of birth, not category, nothing. There's no correction window that opens later for OTR itself, unlike some UPSSSC exam-specific application forms which do get a correction period.
