Bihar Police SI Daroga 2027 Mock Test: Get Two Stars on Your Shoulder
Becoming a Sub Inspector (Daroga) in the Bihar Police is a dream for many young students. Thousands of students read thick books, but they fail because they do not understand the real exam pattern. You must pass three stages: Prelims, Mains, and the Physical Test. Giving a Bihar Police SI Daroga 2027 Mock Test is the best way to check your memory and save time. Read this very simple guide to know the full syllabus, physical test rules, cutoff marks, and the best books to read.
Why I Built This Mock Test Series
I'm Shubham Kumar Sah, founder of MockTestCenter.com. My own prep is for UPSC, but Bihar Police SI is where I keep watching aspirants make the same costly miscalculation.
Almost everyone studies General Hindi and General Studies with roughly equal effort during Mains. That effort isn't split evenly by the exam itself, though. Bihar SI's final merit comes entirely from Mains Paper 2, the General Studies paper. Hindi only has to clear 30% to qualify ā the actual score never enters your final rank. Spend the same hours on both and you've handed half your prep time to a paper that can't move your result past a pass mark.
This series is built around that one fact. Prelims mock tests here match the real exam exactly ā 100 questions, 200 marks, two hours, 0.2 negative marking per wrong answer ā so the screening stage never catches anyone unprepared. But the real weight sits on Paper 2: General Studies, Science, History, Geography, Maths, and Mental Ability. That's the paper that decides who gets selected, and it's where most of what's on this platform is aimed.
Every test runs bilingual, in Hindi and English, matching the actual paper format. A good part of the series stays free too, for the reason it always is here ā finding your weak subject shouldn't come with a price tag before you've even started.
I'm preparing for my own exam at the same time I build this, so I judge everything here by one question: would this actually help someone before their Mains Paper 2 result comes out? If it wouldn't, it doesn't go up.

Written Exam Pattern and Passing Marks (Prelims + Mains)
The written exam has two steps. Prelims is only for passing. Mains is the real game. Look at these tables to understand the paper.
Stage 1: Prelims Exam (Qualifying Test)
You have 2 hours to solve 100 questions. Mostly, Current Affairs and GK are asked. Download a Bihar police si daroga 2027 mock test pdf and solve it on an OMR sheet to check your speed.
| Subjects | Total Questions | Total Marks | Time Given |
|---|---|---|---|
| General Knowledge & Current Issues | 100 | 200 Marks (2 marks each) | 2 Hours (120 Minutes) |
| Prelims Safe Score (Cutoff) | Target 140 to 150 Marks (70 to 75 Correct Questions) to be completely safe. | ||
Stage 2: Mains Exam (The Final Rank Decider)
Mains has two papers in one day. Paper 1 is Hindi (only for passing). Paper 2 is General Studies, which decides your rank.
| Paper | Subject Name | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paper 1 | General Hindi | 100 | 200 Marks | 2 Hours |
| Paper 2 | General Studies, Science, Math, Reasoning, History, Geography | 100 | 200 Marks | 2 Hours |
| Mains Safe Score | Target 155 to 165 Marks (78 to 83 Correct Questions) in Paper 2. | |||
Warning: You only need 30% marks (60 out of 200) to pass Hindi. Do not waste 5 hours daily reading Hindi. Focus your energy on Paper 2.
Subject-wise Weightage (What to Read First)
We organize the syllabus using Green, Yellow, and Red colors so you know exactly which subjects give the highest marks with the least effort.
| Color Zone | Subject Section | Strategic Action Plan |
|---|---|---|
| GREEN ZONE (High Scoring, Less Reading) |
Current Affairs, Science & Maths | Current affairs alone give 20-25 questions in Prelims. Science gives 15-20 questions in both Prelims and Mains. Maths & Reasoning give 20 solid marks in Mains. Read a Bihar Daroga Current Affairs Book like Edu Teria or Speedy daily. These subjects guarantee marks. |
| YELLOW ZONE (Important but Big) |
Modern History & Indian Polity | History gives 15 questions. Focus only on Modern History (Freedom struggle). Polity asks direct articles (President, Parliament). Read Lucent for these subjects and take a Bihar Police Mock Test for Free. |
| RED ZONE (Vast & Unpredictable) |
Ancient/Medieval History & World Geography | Ancient history and World geography are huge. They give only 5-7 questions. Do not read heavy books for this. Just read basic facts and skip hard questions in the exam hall. |
Full Syllabus & Micro Syllabus Detail
Do not read random topics. The BPSSC paper is set from very specific chapters. Review this topic-by-topic micro syllabus breakdown.
| Section | Micro Syllabus Chapter Breakdown | High Weightage Focus Areas |
|---|---|---|
| Current Affairs (Prelims King) |
|
Sports, Military exercises, and Awards are 100% asked. |

Physical Fitness Test (PET/PST): Run, High Jump, Long Jump
If you pass the Mains written exam, you will go for the Physical test. In Bihar Daroga, the physical test does not give you marks, but it is Qualifying. If you fail any one event, you will be rejected on the spot. Look at the rules below.
| Physical Event | Male Candidates Requirement | Female Candidates Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Running (Race) | 1.6 KM in 6 Minutes 30 Seconds. | 1 KM in 6 Minutes. |
| High Jump | Minimum 4 Feet. (You get 3 chances). Tiger jump is allowed. | Minimum 3 Feet. (You get 3 chances). |
| Long Jump | Minimum 12 Feet. | Minimum 9 Feet. |
| Shot Put (Gola Fek) | Throw a 16-pound ball up to 16 Feet. | Throw a 12-pound ball up to 10 Feet. |
Note: Many students fail the High Jump because they practice the "Tiger Jump" at home, but sometimes the police board bans it at the last minute. Practice the basic scissor jump as a backup.
Category-wise Cutoff Trends & Analysis (Last 5-10 Years)
The BPSSC cutoff goes higher every year because the number of students taking the Bihar Daroga TEST SERIES has increased. The paper is out of 200 marks (100 questions). Look at the trend below to set your target:
- General Category (UR): For Prelims, the cutoff is usually around 135 to 142 marks (approx 68-71 correct questions). For Mains final merit, it reaches 150 to 158 marks.
- EWS and BC Category: The cutoff is usually 4 to 6 marks lower than General. Target 130 to 135 marks for Prelims.
- EBC Category: The cutoff is around 125 to 130 marks for Prelims.
- SC/ST Categories: The cutoff stays between 110 to 120 marks for Prelims.
- Female Candidates: The cutoff for girls is much lower. General girls pass Prelims at around 115 to 120 marks. Female reserved categories can pass at around 85 to 100 marks.
Preparation Strategy: Written + Physical Together
Do not wait for the Mains result to start running. The police board gives only 15 to 20 days for the physical test after the result. You cannot build stamina in 20 days. Follow this balanced study plan:
- Phase 1 (Months 1 to 3) ā Core GK & Running: Wake up at 5 AM. Jog slowly for 20 minutes daily to build leg strength. From 9 AM, read Lucent Science and History. Finish one chapter daily.
- Phase 2 (Months 4 to 5) ā Current Affairs: Buy an Edu Teria or Speedy yearly book. Read it daily for 1 hour. This is the key to passing Prelims.
- Phase 3 (Before Prelims) ā Mock Drills: Solve one Bihar police si daroga 2027 mock test free online test daily. Print OMR sheets and color the circles with a pen to practice offline feeling.
- Phase 4 (For Mains) ā Maths & Reasoning: Prelims is over. Now stop reading Current Affairs. Start practicing Math and Reasoning for 2 hours daily because they will give you 20 solid marks in Mains.
Common Mistakes Aspirants Make in Bihar Sub Inspector (SI) Exam
ā ļø Avoid These Critical Preparation Traps
- Reading Heavy Books for Prelims: Many students read big UPSC books like Laxmikanth and Spectrum for Daroga Prelims. BPSSC asks factual questions, not deep concepts. Lucent is enough.
- Ignoring Current Affairs: Current affairs carry 20 to 25 questions in Prelims. If you ignore it, you will fail. Read a yearly magazine.
- Overstudying Hindi for Mains: Hindi is only a qualifying paper (30% marks needed). Your score in Hindi is NOT added to the final merit list. Do not waste 3 hours daily on Hindi. Give that time to Math and Science.
- Fear of Negative Marking: The negative marking in BPSSC is very low (0.2 marks per question). This means if you guess 5 questions and even 1 is correct, you are in profit. You should attempt 90+ questions in the exam hall.
