Getting a government job in the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) or CCRAS is a great opportunity. But many students fail because they do not know the real computer-based exam pattern. Practicing a CCRUM Mock Test is the only way to manage your time and score high marks. Why I Built This Mock Test Series
My name is Shubham Kumar Sah and I am the founder of MockTestCenter.com; although my own preparation is for the UPSC, the CCRUM has kept on appearing as an exam which very few people properly prepare for, and that very gap is the reason why this series has been created.
The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine carries out recruiting in a wide variety of positions β including MTS, LDC, UDC, and various more specialized Group A technical posts. The candidates that I have met tend to regard this exam in the same way as any other ordinary clerical examination and prepare accordingly, failing to recognize that the Computer-Based Test strongly favours a particular kind of preparation. For the MTS, LDC, and UDC positions, the paper consists of sections on English, General Intelligence, Numerical Ability, and General Awareness β all of which are objective, time-limited, and not lenient if you encounter that format for the first time on the day of the actual exam.
What made the decision to carry out this series feel urgent rather than optional was that the CCRUM recruitment cycles provide a fixed number of posts for applications received from all over the country. In such an exam, a difference of two or three correct answers can in fact be the whole margin between being selected and being rejected. You don't have the opportunity to work out the CBT interface or your own pacing while the clock is running.
The tests provided here are available in both Hindi and English since a candidate's inability to understand English shouldn't cause them to lose marks in Numerical Ability or General Intelligence. Part of the series is also offered at no cost because the type of aspirant who is preparing for CCRUM on their own, without the support of an institute, is generally the one that gets excluded by a paywall.
As I carry out my own exam preparation while doing this, I apply the following criterion to each test: would this be of some use to someone in the weeks leading up to their CBT? If the answer is no, then it won't be included.
Official Updates for CCRUM & CCRAS Recruitment

CCRUM Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit & Education
Before you apply, you must check if your age and education match the rules. The rules are different for MTS, LDC, and UDC. Look at this simple table carefully.

Written Exam Pattern and Passing Marks
The written exam has four parts. You will get 70 questions. You must solve them in a short time. Look at the table below to see the marks.

Passing Marks: You must score at least 45% if you are General category, and 40% for reserved categories. But just passing is not enough to get a job. You must score high to get selected for the typing test.

Category-wise Cutoff Trends & Previous Year Analysis (Last 5-10 Years)
The CCRUM Group A CBT is worth 70 marks and is followed by an interview which carries 30 marks; selection is made according to the specified selection procedure and on the basis of merit. Because the number of Group A positions available in the 2026 recruitment is limited, candidates should aim to achieve a good score rather than depend merely on the minimum qualifying marks.
The minimum qualifying score is 25% in the CBT for candidates from the SC/ST/PwBD categories and 30% in the CBT for those in all other categories. Yet attaining the minimum qualifying marks does not ensure that a candidate will be selected, since selection is made on the basis of merit and the relevant selection criteria.
There is no reliable official record of a 5-to-10 year trend regarding the cutoff for this specific CCRUM Group A recruitment, so applicants should aim at achieving the highest possible CBT score and make thorough preparations for the 30-mark interview.
Preparation Strategy: Written + Typing Skill Test Together
For posts like LDC and UDC, you cannot pass if you only read books. You must also pass the typing test. Follow this simple daily routine:
- Morning (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM) - GK & English: Read a basic GK book and English grammar. These subjects give you quick marks without heavy calculation. Memorize 10 new English words daily.
- Afternoon (12:00 PM to 3:00 PM) - Math & Reasoning: Solve Math and Reasoning questions with a pen and rough paper. Learn short tricks to save time. If a question takes 2 minutes, learn how to do it in 40 seconds.
- Evening (5:00 PM to 6:00 PM) - Typing Practice: Open your computer and practice typing on a keyboard. You need 35 words per minute in English. Do not wait for the written exam result to start typing. Start typing today.
- Night (8:00 PM to 9:30 PM) - Mock Test: Take a full mock test on our site. Sit quietly for 90 minutes. Check your score and learn from your wrong answers.
Common Mistakes Aspirants Make in CCRUM
β οΈ Avoid These Fatal Traps
- Guessing Blindly: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks. If you tick answers without knowing, your correct marks will decrease. Leave the question if you don't know it!
- Wasting Time on One Math Question: Many students waste 4 minutes on one hard math question. In those 4 minutes, you can solve 6 English questions. Learn to skip hard questions quickly.
- Ignoring Typing Practice: Many students pass the written exam but fail the typing test because they started practicing very late. The skill test is qualifying but very hard if you don't practice.
- Studying from Old Offline Books Only: The exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT). You have to look at a bright screen and use a mouse. If you do not practice an online mock test, you will get nervous looking at the timer.

- Step 5: Upload your clear recent photo and signature. Pay the online fee (usually free for females, SC, and ST). Submit the form and print the final page.
